Atatürk has ordered his troops to die instead of to live in the war of Galipoli.

The Turkish Armed Forces consist of the army, air forces, navy (includes naval air and naval infantry), gendarmerie and coast guard. The Gendarmerie and Coast Guard operate as the parts of internal security forces in peacetime and are subordinate to the Army and Navy Commands respectively. In wartime, both have law enforcement and military functions.
